Definīcija:The Council is the main decision-making institution of the European Union. It assembles the ministers of the 15 Member States according to the matters to be discussed: foreign affairs, agriculture, industry, transport, and so on. Each country of the Union holds the chair for six months, by rotation. Decisions are prepared by the Comittee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States (Coreper), assisted by committees of officials of the national ministerial departments. The General Secretariat of the Council prepares and implements the decisions.
